There are many, many ways to advertise you stallion some are good and some are... not bad but really not worth it.
Here are some things to add when making a stallion site, blog or page:
Information (DOB (age), color, (genetics would be nice), size, weight, training/showing in, contact(add your city and state(at least), I have seen where people forget to add this))
Pedigree (try to get picture and information, color, pattern and/or showing history from at least the parents)
Pictures (try to get pictures of everyday things like taking a bath, loading in a trailer, riding, leading to a field, these pictures will show his attitude and beauty(even if he's dirty) and pictures of him at a show)
Videos (we want to see how good he is, show us his walk, trot and canter, both ridden and in the field, video him at a show, and/or out practicing)
Foal pictures (we want to see the foals(and a conformation picture of the mare would be nice to), we want to see what he can produce, videos of the foal's would be nice too)
Here are some places to get cheep/free sites for your stallion(s):
www.facebook.com/pages/create/?ref_type=sitefooter (free, you can add as many pictures as you want, when you post a photo people will see it, people can post pictures of there foals by him there)
If you have a facebook page you can separate your pictures in to albums (like: Jimi's Parents(or each parent), Jimi 2011, Jimini - Jimi's First Foal, Jimi at Glender Show in Halter, Etc.)(you can see my filly's Blog at Preya Lee on facebook for an idea)
www.wix.com/ (free(you can get premium), can get one for each stallion, you can post lots of pictures of him and his foals, you can add videos and music)
Also videos are also a wonderful way to advertise. These are some really good ones off of youtube for you to watch:
Shaker's Jamaican Pride- The gentlest stallion alive
MARVI - royal quick dash (2010)
Zips Chocolate Chip - The All-time Leading Sire of AQHA Western
The Krymsun Kruzer
FRIESIAN STALLION "Leave you Breathless"
